There are multiple ways to cut a fabric at the end of the roll. BTU TECH received a cross cutter design request based on shear cutting principle where the fabric is cut with slowly rotating mechanical blades rather than a motorized diamond blades, not to create dust, waste and thickening during cutting. The first product delivered to a wind blade fabric manufacturer is used in a short roll winder machine to quickly split the rolls from a jumbo roll. The pressure and overlap of the upper and lower blades are mechanically adjusted whereas the travelling and rotational speed is electronically controlled. The system can easliy be implemented to unwinders, winders, roll feeders, etc.
